JetSend Generic Receiver
The "Calsoft Labs JetSend Generic Receiver" is a JetSend soft appliance (a term in JetSend jargon which refers to JetSend compliant devices or applications) which enables users receive data in different formats from various kinds of senders, be it soft appliances or JetSend devices. It uses the content-based JetSend protocol of HP, a protocol for robust device-to-device communication. The idea behind such a software is to enable users receive information encoded using the ematerial specifications provided by JetSend.for information exchange. It can also be used as a tool to evaluate the JetSend compatibility of any sender appliance or device.
The Generic Receiver soft Appliance has been developed using JetSend SDK version 1.0. The appliance depends on the following three primary areas of functionality that are part of the JetSend SDK.
HP JetSend is transport independent. JetSend devices can address each other directly over any bi-directional 1 transport using unique addressing. Possible transports include, but are not limited to, TCP/IP, SPX/IPX, IrDA, IEEE1284, and IEEE1394. A device can implement one or more transports allowing it to communicate with other devices using those same transports....
